Road work ahead: List of road/lane closures

First Street SE will be closed from 1st Avenue SE west to the railroad tracks from Friday, May 14 to Sunday, May 16 to facilitate Ramp 6 washing.

Overland Drive NW will be closed from 18th Avenue NW to Granite Drive NW from Monday, May 10 to Monday, May 24 to facilitate the installation of a pedestrian crossing.

Rochester Public Transit routes 101, 102, and 21 will detour along Silver Lake Drive NE with temporary stops installed on the detour route beginning Monday, May 10. See rptride.com for more information.

North Broadway Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Civic Center Drive to Silver Lake Drive NE from Monday, May 10 to November 2021. Through traffic will be detoured via Silver Lake Drive NE. Local traffic and business access will be available via side streets i.e. 5th Street North to 13 1/2 Street North and the mid-block alleys east and west of North Broadway Avenue.

North Broadway Avenue will be completely closed from 11th Street to 13th Street from Monday, May 10 through July 2021.

The Silver Lake Trail along the south side of the lake will reopen via a temporary pedestrian and bicycle path beginning Monday, May 10. This will use 12th Street NE and Broadway Avenue to connect trail users to the Cascade Creek Trail and the Silver Lake Trail on the north side of the lake. This route will be modified during the construction project.

The pedestrian ramp of the northeast corner of the 1st Avenue NW and 1st Street NW intersection will be closed for replacement from Monday, May 3 to Friday, May 7.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions on 2nd Street SW through the intersection of 1st Avenue SW from Monday, May 3 through Sunday, May 9.

Northbound traffic on Broadway Avenue will shift to one lane from 1st Street SE to Center Street East from Monday, May 3 to Friday, May 7. The adjacent sidewalk on the east side of Broadway Avenue will be closed during this time.

Teton Lane NE and 11th Avenue NE from Sierra Lane NE to Teton Lane NE will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, April 26. Access to homes will be very limited during daytime hours with one lane of access overnight.

The signals at the intersection of 13th Street NW and North Broadway will be flashing red for all directions from Wednesday, April 21 to Monday, April 26. Motorists should take turns. The signals will be replaced with stop signs from Monday, April 26 until the road closure of North Broadway on Monday, May 10.

Travel on North Broadway Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from 12th Street NW to 14th Street NW beginning Wednesday, April 21.

Retail Drive NW will be closed from Monday, April 19 through Friday, July 23. The Northwest Shopping Plaza will be accessible from 55th Street NW/Chateau Road NW and Highway 52 North Frontage Road.

The sidewalk and shoulder along 48th Street SW from Scenic Oaks Drive SW to Scenic Drive SW will be closed periodically from Monday, April 6 through Tuesday, June 1.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on West Center Street through the intersection at 1st Avenue NW beginning Monday, March 14. First Avenue NW to the south of West Center Street intersection will remain closed. Bike lanes will merge onto traffic lanes through the intersection. Pedestrian crosswalk on the south side of West Center Street will be closed.

Traffic impacts near Discovery Square 2 from Sept. 18 to April 2022 include: 2nd Avenue SW from 5th Street SW to 4th Street SW will be one lane of northbound traffic only; 5th Street SW, from 2nd Street SW to 3rd Street SW, will be eastbound traffic only; and the sidewalk on 5th Street SW adjacent to the project site will be closed. A pedestrian walkway will be available on 2nd Avenue SW.
