RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — A Riverview woman was sentenced to 18 months in jail after she stole more than $400,000 from a senior citizen residential community, according to the Middle District of Florida.

According to court documents, 49-year-old Victoria Zerillo worked as a general manager of a nonprofit that provided HVAC, appliance and plumbing repair services to senior citizens.

From December 2015 to November 2022, officials said Zerillo and others conspired to commit wire fraud and embezzled $410,963.78 from the nonprofit by creating false and fraudulent bank statements and destroying records.

Zerillo spent the money on luxury vacations and other personal expenses.

At the sentencing, one of the victims said Zerillo’s embezzlement significantly harmed them financially.
