River Road to close next week in Oakland neighborhood for repairs

TOPEKA (KSNT) – City work crews will be closing a road in the Oakland area for several days to complete a median project.

The City of Topeka announced on Friday, March 15 that its work crews will be closing the NE River Road Loop to complete a median cap replacement project. The closure will start at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 18 and is projected to end at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.

A detour route for westbound drivers begins at Northeast Sardou before moving to Northeast Twiss then south to Northeast Division and back west to Northeast River Road. Northbound drivers will go from Northeast River Road to Northeast Division before moving east to Northeast Twiss and north to Northeast Sardou.
