It was a pastel pink and blue dream world for Rihanna's MTV Music Video Awards opener.

The pop queen performed a medley of her past biggest hits, including "Please Don't Stop the Music," "Only Girl (In The World)," "We Found Love" and "Where Have You Been."

This is just the first of multiple Rihanna performances scheduled for throughout the night.

Rihanna will receive the 2016 Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award on Sunday night, joining past recipients including Kanye West, Beyoncé and Madonna.

Ahead of Rihanna's win, her maybe actual boyfriend/definite wannabe boyfriend Drake plastered a massive billboard with a congratulatory message:

A bit much? Maybe, but we wouldn't expect anything less from big softie Drake.

In 2007 and 2012 Rihanna won the coveted Video of the Year Awards for her singles "Umbrella" and "We Found Love," respectively.

Update, Sunday, August 28, 2016 10:02 PM: Rihanna's second performance of the night was an all-out party with hundreds of dancers writhing to her singles "Rude Boy" and "Work."
