Rihanna Posts Emotional Call for Help to Find Her Missing Backup Dancer

From ELLE

Shirlene Quigley, a 32-year-old dancer from New Jersey who has worked with Rihanna and Beyoncé, has gone missing, NBC New York reports. She was last seen getting on a bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York at around 1 a.m. Sunday, and her father became concerned when she didn't call him that evening like she normally does.

Rihanna posted a call for information on Instagram, calling Quigley a "beautiful soul" and including a video of Quigley calling for everyone to treat each other like family. "My heart aches thinking of how heavy this is on all who love her," Rihanna wrote.

Missy Elliott also posted a video of Quigley, and urged anyone with information to call the North Bergen police department at 201-392-2100.

When Quigley was just 18, she got her first job dancing in Beyoncé's video for "Crazy in Love." The day after the shoot, she started dancing on the singer's world tour, according to her website. Since then, she's danced with Rihanna, Chris Brown, Destiny's Child, Missy Elliott, and more artists, traveled around the world on her own dance tour, and started a theater acting career.

Police say her phone was found in a bridal store in New York City; she may have been picking something up for a show there. She had recently told a friend, "Get ready, it's about to happen and I'm going to need you to sub for me." Her landlord saw her leave her home Saturday and told a friend she didn't look well. "I just want her to come home, or if someone has her to let her be," her father told NBC New York. "She's everything to me. She's why I live."
