The Mississippi man suspected of mailing letters laced with ricin to President Barack Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker has been charged with threatening the president and others.

The Justice Department announced the charges against 45-year-old Paul Kevin Curtis on Thursday, NBC News and the Associated Press reported. Curtis is scheduled to appear in court later in on Thursday. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
