Richmond Police arrest two, looking for two more in robbery case

May 1—Two men were arrested in connection with a robbery that happened last Tuesday in Richmond.

Richmond Chief of Police, Rodney Richardson, says that the victim, was expecting a delivery at his residence on Keystone Drive when four armed individuals showed up.

"They [the intruders] kicked it [the door] in and assaulted him and took some items from his house," he said.

Richardson confirmed that Richmond Police arrested Dean Markeese, 22, and Travon Laduke, 20, in connection with the robbery.

Richardson told The Register exclusively that Richmond Police got into a pursuit with one of the other two individuals, who are still on the run from police. This chase took place over the prior weekend.

According to Chief Richardson, the Criminal Investigations Unit is currently investigating the crime looking for the additional two who are alleged to be part of the crime.

Laduke and Markeese are currently lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

Markeese was charged with second degree assault, first degree robbery along with first degree fleeing/evading police. Laduke was charged with first degree robbery.
