Ribbon cutting held for new Curt’s Ace Hardware in Marion

MARION, Va. (WFXR)—Food City officials celebrated a ribbon cutting and held grand opening ceremonies for their new Curt’s Ace Hardware store on N Main Street in Marion.

Ace Hardware is known for its wide variety of top-quality products, including Benjamin Moor paints. Big Green Egg, Trager, and EGO power equipment. The store also sells YETI products, hardware, lawn and garden, and other home improvement supplies.

“Much like our Food City stores, we are excited to continue to grow and expand our Curt’s Ace Hardware family of stores,” says Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer. “Sadly, locally owned hardware stores are becoming a thing of the past. Having served in the grocery industry for 40+ years, I have seen firsthand how important a local well-run supermarket is to the community and I think the same holds true for local hardware stores.”

This marks the ninth Curt’s Ace Hardware location in the region and its second location in Virginia. New locations are coming to the Commonwealth soon in Abingdon and Lebanon. “We greatly appreciate the support of our loyal customers, and we want to leverage our Curt’s Ace Hardware brand to better serve the communities where we already do business,” says Smith.
