RHONY's Jules Wainstein Granted Temporary Restraining Order Against Ex Michael amid Contentious Divorce
Jules Wainstein's divorce drama continues.
The Real Housewives of New York City star went to court Wednesday to receive a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Michael Wainstein, PEOPLE has learned.
A source close to the situation tells PEOPLE the court appearance came after police were called to the former couple's home that morning in regards to a disturbance in which no arrests were made.
The source confirms Jules was granted a temporary restraining order against Michael.
A rep for Jules, 35, tells PEOPLE: "Unlike her soon-to-be ex-husband and his lawyer, Jules will not use the press to discuss her divorce proceedings."
"She is concerned about the welfare and privacy of their children and feels that is what a courtroom is for," adds the rep. "They're due in court very soon."
News of Jules' contentious divorce from her investment banker husband broke in June. The two have been married for eight years and share two children together: son Jagger, 8, and daughter Rio, 5.
At the time, a rep for Jules told PEOPLE the split was "over his infidelity."
That same week, the star called the police to their Manhattan apartment because "she genuinely did not feel safe," a source told PEOPLE at the time. Michael's attorney Mark Jay Heller, meanwhile, told PEOPLE that the cheating allegations are false and that the 911 call was based on fabricated charges.
Jules most recently spoke out about the divorce last week on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live.
When host Andy Cohen asked whether Jules knew Michael's alleged mistress, the star faltered – but her RHONY costar Dorinda Medley stepped in.
"I can say that's true," Medley said.
As for whether she ever suspected Michael would cheat, Jules said "never" before trailing off.
"I don't know," she added.
