‘RHOA’ Star Kandi Burruss Teases Her Return

Kandi Burruss isn’t letting rumors and drama keep her from returning to “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The Bravo reality star is bracing fans for what’s to come when Season 10 premieres.

Us Weekly caught up with the “RHOA” star during the 2017 BET Awards on Sunday. Speaking with the publication, she revealed that she will be returning to the show, and is starring in another. Kandi’s hopeful that fans will tune into both “RHOA” and the Xscape docuseries she’s starring in when they debut this fall and promises there will be plenty of drama.

“It was a lot of drama last season, so I kind of prepared myself now that I’m coming into this season, Season 10, it’s gonna be even crazier,” she teased. “It’s a lot of different things going on, not just with me, but some of our past castmates are coming back, and we’re gonna see how that goes. We just started taping this past week. I haven’t even seen everybody yet.”

Kandi’s not kidding about how busy her co-stars have been. Kenya Moore, who’s been on “RHOA” for several seasons, recently tied the knot. She waited nearly a week to reveal the identity of her hubby, Marc Daly, on Instagram.

News of her marriage went unconfirmed until June 16, at which time Kenya told People she had tied the knot. The pair invited close friends and family to their intimate beach wedding in St. Lucia. It’s unclear who, if anyone, among the “RHOA” cast was invited.

“I’m just ecstatic,” she said. “This man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife.”

Meanwhile NeNe Leakes has been working hard on negotiating her return to the show. She and network executives finally reached an agreement on June 14. NeNe confirmed the exciting news on Twitter.

TMZ reported that negotiations were eight months in the making. NeNe and Kim Zolciak, another former “RHOA” star set to return to the show in Season 10, were both working on their agreements at the same time. Kim reportedly signed her contract in April.

NeNe won’t be returning full time, however. According to reports she’s signed on for a part time role. NeNe, who left the show to focus on her acting career and other aspects of her life, was apparently too busy to return full time.

“There were so many bloggers and people saying she’s returning, she’s getting this, or she’s getting that! I just want to be the person to finally say to my fans who have supported me for many years, I’m back and ready for Season 10. Let the shade begin, hunni!” she said in a statement to Bravo’s Daily Dish.

One member of the “RHOA” cast won’t be returning to the show in Season 10. Phaedra Parks, who found herself at the center of some serious drama with Porsha Williams and Kandi in Season 9, has reportedly been removed from the cast according to Us Weekly. She may make a brief appearance in Season 10 of “RHOA” for an apology scene, according to AllAboutTheTea.com, though those reports remain unconfirmed.

Phaedra was reportedly removed from the “RHOA” cast for her involvement in a scandal with Porsha and Kandi. During the Season 9 reunion, it came to light that Phaedra was the originator of rumors that Kandi and husband Todd Tucker planned to drug Porsha and have their way with her. Phaedra has apologized for spreading the rumors, but it’s unclear whether her co-stars were willing to accept.

“RHOA” will return in the fall, according to Kandi.
