RHBCap's Q2 earnings jump to RM556.5m

KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Capital Bhd's earnings rose to RM556.5 million in the Q2 ended June 30, 2014 from RM410.3 million a year ago due to higher impairment writeback on other assets.

Other factors were lower impairment allowances for loans and financing, higher income from Islamic Banking business and higher net interest income.

This was partly offset by lower other operating income and higher other operating expenses.
