Reward increased to $50K to find missing Prairie Village woman

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — The reward is increasing for information on a Prairie Village woman who’s been missing since 2019.

A $50,000 reward is now being offered for information on Angela Green’s location or finding her remains.

Green was last seen at her home on Tomahawk Road in Prairie Village on June 20, 2019.

Steve Ridge, a licensed private investigator, has been working on the case with relatives for more than three years and is offering the reward.

Ridge has interviewed dozens of family members, neighbors and people with possible knowledge of Green’s disappearance.

“I am fully confident that more than one person knows exactly what happened to Angela and where remains likely were placed. Eventually, someone will talk,” Ridge said.

“My goal is to accelerate discovering the truth. This has been five years of living hell for Angela’s loving family.”

Kansas will pay $1M over KCK 7-year-old’s brutal death

In 2019, Green’s neighbors were concerned they hadn’t seen their neighbor in a long time and reached out to Green’s daughter, who was in school at the University of Kansas.

Ellie GreenAngela’s daughter, said her father told her in 2019 that her mother died of a stroke in a hospital. Ellie said her father asked her not to tell their extended family. Ellie said she eventually tried to get her mother’s death certificate and discovered the state of Kansas had no record that Angela died.

FOX4 previously reported Ellie Green questioned her father about what happened to her mom. She said the story became even more unbelievable, and she filed a missing person’s report with the Prairie Village Police Department.

“Daughter Ellie Green, her cousin, Michelle Guo, and Prairie Village police lead detective, Sgt. Adam Taylor are all very supportive of this increased reward as a potential means of cracking this case,” Ridge said.

Investigators searched Green’s home and another location back in 2020. They also searched a second home that Green’s husband owns in Lawrence.

Prairie Village detectives have investigated more than 150 leads in the case, but haven’t found Angela.

In March 2023, Ridge offered a $25,000 reward for information on what happened to Green.

Ridge said that anyone with information should contact the Prairie Village Police at 913-642-6868 to qualify for the reward. You can also stay anonymous by calling 816-474-TIPS.
