Revive Cryo Spa to relocate to Freedom Village Shopping Center in Eldersburg

The Freedom Village Shopping Center in Eldersburg will welcome the health and wellness boutique, Revive Cryo Spa, late this spring or early summer.

The spa will be relocating from its current location on Liberty Road in Eldersburg to the Freedom Shopping Center, located at 6300 Georgetown Blvd., between the China Dragon restaurant and US Nails and Spa.

“Freedom Village Shopping Center is among the most popular shopping destinations in Carroll County, and the venue became even more attractive to us following the opening of Grocery Outlet, which creates significant traffic throughout the week,” Brian Taylor, the founder of Revive Cryo Spa, said in a news release Tuesday.

In November, the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market opened in the Freedom Village Shopping Center, which is located in the southeastern part of Carroll County.

“We believe we can leverage customers from those visiting Physical Therapy Group and Advanced Orthopedics too,” said Taylor, who founded his business seven years ago.

Revive Cryo Spa provides services that include an infrared sauna, slim sculpt, a non-invasive weight-loss procedure, cryoskin, a non-invasive cosmetic procedure using a temperature-controlled massage wand for a slimmer, toned appearance and cryotherapy, which exposes the body to temperatures hovering at negative 150 degrees.

This procedure drops a person’s core temperature by about 40 degrees, and is intended to target body inflammation, speed up recovery from injuries, enhance sleep and contribute to mood boosting.

The average time spent in cryotherapy is approximately three minutes per session, the news release states.

“The process causes the release of endorphins which are the body’s natural pain inhibitors, and the resultant enhanced circulation activity moves blood into and out of the core, clears toxins and metabolic waste with a supply of oxygen and nutrient-enriched blood,” Taylor said.

Freedom Village Shopping Center also features Goodwill Industries and Centers for Advanced Orthopedics in addition to 20 other stores, including Panera Bread and Celebree School.

With the opening of Revive Cryo, the center will be 98% leased, according to the news release. The shopping center is owned by Continental Realty Corp., a Baltimore-based development firm. They purchased Freedom Village in 1999, which is nearly 130,000 square feet.

“With health concepts like Revive Cryo Spa on the rise, there’s a growing demand for unique and effective wellness solutions,” Kristina O’Keefe, vice president of the Commercial Division of Continental Realty Corporation stated in the news release. “Given its outstanding track record, incorporating this brand into the lineup at Freedom Village perfectly aligns with our dedication to curating tenants that resonate with the community’s needs and desires.”

Continental Realty was founded in 1960 as a commercial real estate and investment company. The privately held firm owns and manages retail centers and apartments across 11 states.

Nearly 45,000 people live within five miles of Freedom Village, which includes approximately 15,000 households, with an average household income of more than $125,000, according to Continental Realty. Nearly 30,000 vehicles pass the center daily.
