Revelation Ale Works seeking investors for expansion project

May 30—Hallock, Minn.-based Revelation Ale Works is seeking investors to help fund an expansion project.

The project will see the upgrades to the brewery's on-site taproom, an added bathroom, and the creation of an outdoor space for customers. People interested in investing can get involved for $100, and that initial investment will then be converted to stock ownership in the company. At present the company has raised nearly $80,000.

"We are looking for people that know our product and are interested in helping us out, (and) being a part of our growth," said Ryan Evenson, Revelation's president and head brewer.

According to a news release, the company has grown its distribution markets in Grand Forks, Fargo and throughout northwest Minnesota and the Twin Cities, and has added new distribution markets in Duluth, Wisconsin and Manitoba.

The brewery has seen continued growth over the last few years, and has stayed profitable during the pandemic. Revenue grew 93% in 2018 and 59% in 2019. Company officials are expecting continued growth in 2021.

That growth has led to $40,000 being returned to the community, in the form of donations to various local entities, like the fair board or youth hockey league. The company recently started the Rev Up Foundation in order to open up more charitable opportunities.

"It is important to us that Revelation Ale Works is family friendly with something for everyone at every age," says Lindsey Evenson, co-founder of Revelation Ale Works. "Revelation is known not only for the best beer hops and malt can make, but also as a business that brings people together and builds community."
