Arpita Khan, the beloved sister of the “forever-bachelor” actor of Bollywood, Salman Khan, is all set to marry her long-time boyfriend Aayush Sharma. The wedding, which will take place on November 18, was earlier expected to happen in January 2015. But, Arpita got the date rescheduled so as to make it coincide with the golden anniversary of her parents'wedding.

And, as the Khans are known for their lavish and larger-than-life celebrations, this wedding is definitely going to be the one you would want to watch out for. So, let us give you some sneak peak and exclusive details of Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma's wedding.

The made for each other couple

Arpita Khan, the youngest of the Khan siblings is a budding fashion designer while Aayush Sharma is a businessman based in Delhi. They have been good friends for a long time before they committed to each other to enter the bonds of love and marriage.

Arpita and Aayush have been dating each other since 2013, and marriage seemed like a natural step to them when they became serious about each other. The two even got a green signal from their respective families to make way towards marriage. A source close to the couple has been quoted by a tabloid saying, "Arpita and Aayush are madly in love. They are very serious about each other. Aayush comes from a respectable, rich family and the Khans dote on him." The couple is so much in love that they have even inked each other’s name on their arms. Truly, it is a pair destined to be soulmates.

Earlier on, Arpita was dating actor Arjun Kapoor, who even accepted that this was the only serious relationship he has ever had till date, recently on a chat show.

It has also been reported that Aayush has been eyeing a career in Bollywood as well. And, that is why, the couple will be staying in Mumbai only after the wedding. Salim Khan has also been quoted by a leading daily, saying, “Since Aayush is trying his luck in films, they (Arpita and Aayush) will stay in Mumbai. He has taken an apartment on rent, for three years, in Bandra. I think he needs to be given enough time to try his luck in films as he is passionate about them. As he belongs to an affluent business family he can always join his family business later on.”

The wedding date

It is almost after 16 years that the Khan’s khandaan will witness a wedding in their family. Earlier the date for the Arpita and Aayush wedding was reported to be January 2015. However, when the two families were in Shimla recently to enjoy a mini vacation together, they decided to prepone the wedding date. "Arpita and Aayush were to tie the knot in January next year, but both the families have taken the decision of bringing it forward to November this year," revealed a source close to the family.

After the pre-wedding rituals, the family will leave for Hyderabad for rest of the grand wedding and the reception.

The wedding card and the guest list

While the preparations of this gala wedding are still underway, the wedding cards are already distributed. The wedding card of Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma, is in the combination of gold and floral pink design, and is truly extraordinary. The invitation has been sent to several bigshots from the world of business, politics, cricket, and of course, the film industry of Mumbai as well as the south. The guests' list include Katrina Kaif, Sajid Nadiadwala, Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao, Karan Johar, David Dhawan, Hema Malini and Dharmendra, Chiranjeevi, and many more.

The king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has also confirmed his presence for this grand wedding. The actor stated at a recent event, "I don't need any invitation to attend Arpita's wedding. I don't know if the invitation has reached home because I have been away from home and have not yet got the time to go back home. But that is not required. I have seen Arpita as a baby. I have cradled her in my arms so I will definitely be a part of her wedding. I share a very warm relation with Salman and his family is like my family. I will definitely go for Arpita who is like my own sister."

While the honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has also been invited for the event, his presence in the event is quite unlikely due to the busy schedule.

The venue

Hold your breath, the venue for Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma's wedding is a beautiful Palace converted into hotel in Hyderabad. Yes! It is The Falaknuma Palace, managed by the Taj Group of Hotels. Interestingly, Arpita is based out of Mumbai while Aayush is from Delhi, hence neither of them having any connection with Hyderabad. However, it was Arpita Khan's choice to get married there. Sohail Khan's wife Seema Khan revealed the reason behind the choice of wedding venue, “It was Arpita’s dream to get married at the Falaknuma Palace located in Hyderabad. The hotel has a heritage feel to it.”

Speaking about the venue and celebrations, father Salim Khan says that, “Actually, I have asked my sons to keep it simple, and not splurge on things unnecessarily. I will not be able to tell you the ‘Itinerary’ that has been planned for the wedding to be solemnised at the Falaknuma.”

The wedding shopping

In this short time frame the families had to arrange a lot- be it the designer trousseau or exquisite jewellery or the other wedding extravaganza. However, to aid his family in their wedding chores, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend and actress, Sangeeta Bijlani, has also jumped in. It has been reported that she has been spotted accompanying Arpita on her jewellery and trousseau shopping sprees.

Some sources who are close to the family have confirmed this. They have been quoted confessing, “Sangeeta has always been close to the Khan family. They really value her advice and her presence.” Also Seema Khan, wife of Sohail Khan, who is also a leading fashion designer, has started designing outfits for the ladies of the Khan family.

Salim Khan and Helen speak

Talking about his feelings related to his youngest daughter’s wedding, Salim Khan has been quoted as saying, “Like any other father, I am also happy that my daughter is settling down in matrimony. She is the youngest in the family so we all dote on her. Her absence will obviously be missed. But we are all very happy for her and busy preparing for the wedding. I only wish to say we are excited and looking forward to the big day at the moment.”

Arpita is the adopted daughter of Salim Khan and his second wife, actress, Helen. Even the mother of the bride-to-be expressed her excitement for her daughter’s wedding, and has been quoted saying, “We all are very excited and getting ready for the wedding. It will be a new journey for Arpita, I wish her happiness and luck. We have met Aayush and are happy with Arpita's choice. Aayush is a great guy. He will take good care of Arpita and keep her happy.”

Wedding Menu

When it comes to Indian weddings, be it a celebrity affair or not, food is definitely one of the most-loved topic of discussions. For Arpita’s wedding, Khan Family has chosen a buffet complete with some of the choicest Hyderabadi delicacies.

A source has been quoted by a leading daily, as revealing, “Brunches, lunches and dinners throughout the event will have all the dishes, including some oriental. But for the main dinner (on November 18), it is going to be Hyderabadi cuisine like biryani and Pathar Ka Gosht.”

The source has further added, “The Khans have specifically asked to add 'Kachche Gosht Ki Biryani' (raw meat Biryani) and Haleem because they had it in the hotel earlier.”

Security Checks

Salman Khan and the entire family is keeping a strict check on the security and privacy of their VIPs, who will be attending Arpita’s wedding in Hyderabad. It has been reported that the entire hotel has been booked for two full days for this wedding. And, only the invitees would be allowed in the hotel during this time.

Falaknuma hotel management has also put in a special request to the South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police to provide assistance in the security arrangements for the wedding. South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana has been quoted as saying, “Around 200 guests are expected to attend the marriage, and police will ensure that there is no inconvenience caused to them.”

Salman Khan on wedding

Arpita Khan wanted a small scale and private wedding but when it comes to Khans, nothing can be left private and low-key. Thus everyone in the family is leaving no stones unturned to make this wedding phenomenal.

Also, Salman Khan, who is most attached to his little sister, is quite busy in the wedding preparations. It is also heard that Salman will gift a three-bedroom terrace flat to Arpita as a wedding gift.

On November 16, Arpita's pre-wedding ceremonies began with a grand sangeet ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Khan's residence, Galaxy Apartments. And, it was also became one of those rare occasions that saw two of the biggest Bollywood stars, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan coming together.
