The past few weeks have been eventful for the Baltimore Ravens roster, having all but one of their original PUP players return to practice in the past two weeks. The list includes OLB Terrell Suggs, OLB Elvis Dumervil, WR Steve Smith Sr., WR Breshad Perriman. The lone player left on the PUP list is CB Jumal Rolle, who is soon to be placed on short term IR.

OLB Terrell Suggs

Suggs is back after suffering a season ending achilles tear during week one of last season. After many long months of rehab and training he finally made it back for the last few training camp practices. Suggs will be welcomed back with open arms to be a leader in the locker room by showing the young guys how its done.

OLB Elvis Dumervil

I'm just glad to be back working on my craft and getting ready for the season ???? #ravensflock

Dumervil is another one of the returning vets whose locker room presence will be welcomed. Dumervil is practicing in training camp, but likely wont play until week one. Dumervil is set to start at outside linebacker.

WR Steve Smith Sr.

Smith, like Suggs, is also coming back from a season ending achilles injury that took him out on his original farewell tour. Smith felt that he had “Let the team down” after going down with his season ending injury, and wanted to “Prove to those guys (the rest of the team and front office) that I am still reliable, even at 37 years old.” Smith is also set to be ready for the regular season debut.

WR Breshad Perriman

The Ravens 2015 first round pick has yet to play in a game in his short career due to recurring knee injuries that have kept him sidelined. Last year it was a slow-healing PCL tear that happened on the first day of training camp that took him out his rookie year, and this year it was an ACL sprain. He returned to practice earlier this week and hopes to play in the regular season opener.

QB Joe Flacco

Flacco, who has been out since 8 week of last season, was never put on the PUP list and has participated all throughout OTA’s and Training Camp. Although Flacco has practiced with the team all offseason he has yet to play in a preseason game, that will soon change; Flacco plans to play the first half of Saturday’s preseason game against the Lions.
