Life Insurance Awareness Month Kicks Off with Video Educational Resource by Your Retirement Reality Intended to Start Conversations about Family's Life Insurance Coverage Gap

LEAWOOD, KS / ACCESSWIRE / September 1, 2017 / Each September the biggest event in the insurance industry takes plac- Life Insurance Awareness Month. This year, Your Retirement Reality is participating in Life Insurance Awareness Month by creating compelling video content in hope to raise awareness and enlighten audiences about the life insurance coverage gap in the United States.

According to LIMRA, 30 percent of American households are currently uncovered, even though over 50 million households recognize the importance of life insurance and the security that would be available to protect their family and estate. Even more troubling is there was a significant decline in 2016 of adequate life insurance coverage in U.S. households. Industry recommendations claim those with families who rely on a family member's income should be insure for five to ten times their replacement income. However in 2016, that average coverage number has dropped to three years.

This September, Your Retirement Reality created a video interviewing "Sarah," about her personal tragedy for Life Insurance Awareness month. The video interviews Sarah about how her life changed after her husband's unexpected death and how it left her and her son in an uncertain financial position.
