Retired Publix CEO is keynote speaker for Florida Southern College graduation

Florida Southern College will hold its spring commencement ceremony Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.

The keynote speaker is Ed Crenshaw, retired CEO of Publix Super Markets and a member of the college’s board of trustees.

The college expects to confer 551 degrees, according to a news release. That includes 11 students receiving doctorates and 79 receiving master’s degrees. Nearly 20 students will graduate with multiple degrees.

It will be the final commencement for FSC President Anne Kerr, who announced that she will retire after 20 years as the college’s leader. Tickets were distributed to graduates.
