Retina iPad mini stock said to be ‘ridiculously tight’

The rumors of an iPad mini announcement delay were clearly incorrect, but the new tablet might still be very difficult to get your hands on next month. CNET shares IHS analyst Rhoda Alexander’s report that the iPad mini stock will be “ridiculously tight” when the tablet launches in November. This report follows countless nearly identical stories from earlier in the month that all conclude Apple will not be able to produce enough of the new iPad mini models to meet demand for the holiday season. The iPad Air will release next week on November 1st, but the iPad mini does not have a confirmed release date yet, and if the reports are to be believed it’s probably because Apple is rushing to produce as many iPad minis as possible before stocking the shelves.
