Retail gasoline prices down 4 cents across Texas

AAA survey finds retail gasoline prices down 4 cents this week across Texas

HOUSTON (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have slipped 4 cents this week to settle at $3.35 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday also reported the nationwide average price at the pump help steady at $3.51 per gallon.

The association survey found Houston with the most expensive gasoline in Texas at $3.40 per gallon. Beaumont had the cheapest gasoline statewide at $3.22 per gallon.

AAA says the main factors driving retail gasoline prices down in recent weeks have been low demand, continued disappointing economic news and lower crude oil prices.
