Resident rescued from apartment fire in Boonsboro

BOONSBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — Firefighters rescued a person who was inside an apartment when the building caught fire Monday morning in Boonsboro.

The Boonsboro Fire Department said that crews were alerted about the fire just before 6:05 a.m. When they arrived, firefighters reported heavy fire on both the first and second floors of the building.

The first residents who firefighters found said that everyone was out, but crews later learned that a resident was still in an apartment.

Firefighters were able to rescue the resident from inside.
