Rescuers show photos after Russian overnight drone attack in Vinnytsia Oblast

Debris from Russian drones damaged three four-story buildings and seven houses during an overnight attack on the town of Zhmerynka, Vinnytsia Oblast on May 26, the regional military administration reported on Telegram.

Local authorities and the State Emergency Service shared photos showing the aftermath of the attack.

Three people were reportedly injured but refused hospitalization.

A total of 40 people were evacuated from their homes.

Rescuers are currently dismantling dangerous overhanging structures from the damaged buildings to ensure the safety of passersby.

An air raid alert was declared in most regions of Ukraine overnight as Russia launched missiles and drones. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, and missiles flew over the western regions.

The Air Force reported that air defense forces successfully shot down all 31 Shahed drones and all 12 cruise missiles launched overnight. However, Ukrainian air defense forces couldn't intercept two Russian Kinzhal missiles.
