Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tested positive for the coronavirus.

RNC spokesperson Mike Reed confirmed the news in a statement to McClatchy News.

“After a member of her family tested positive for COVID-19, the Chairwoman was tested for the virus. On Wednesday afternoon, she got confirmation she was COVID-19 positive,” the statement read.

McDaniel has “mild” symptoms after contracting the disease, NBC News and The New York Times reported Friday.

McDaniel has been home in Michigan since Saturday, Reed said, according to CNN.

The news comes hours after President Donald Trump on early Friday revealed he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19.

It’s unknown whether those cases were linked to McDaniel’s infection. She was last with Trump on Sept. 26, the Times reported.

McDaniel received the positive test results on Wednesday but didn’t mention her diagnosis in her well-wishes to the Trumps.

“Wishing @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS Melania Trump a speedy recovery,” she wrote Friday morning on Twitter. “We are praying for you!”
