Offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor will enter the transfer portal, with his sights set on Alabama, The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman first reported. He announced his transfer to Iowa from Alabama less than two months ago.

The Proctor saga has been a murky one to say the least. He committed to Iowa as a recruit, then flipped his commitment to Alabama because “he didn’t want to settle.” Then after one season in which he started every game, he returned to the state he grew up in.

Proctor was the highest graded prospect at his position the state had ever seen, and was the No. 2 recruit in the 2023 class by 247sports.

A major disappointment for the Hawkeyes and their fans. Iowa is set to begin spring football training tomorrow without a freak athlete at left tackle.
