BLACKSBURG, Va. (WJHL) – Virginia Tech women’s basketball senior guard Georgia Amoore has entered her name into the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Kellie Harper fired as Lady Vols head coach, search underway for new women’s basketball coach

The Australian native spent the last four seasons with the Hokies, helping the program to the NCAA Tournament each year. That run includes a trip to the Final Four back in 2023.

This past season, Amoore averaged 18.8 points and 6.9 assists per game en-route to an Associated Press Third Team All-American selection.

The guard announced her intention to depart Virginia Tech back on March 28, but it was unclear whether she would use her remaining year of eligibility or enter her name into the 2024 WNBA Draft. The deadline to enter the draft for those players whose collegiate season had ended was today, April 1.
