Report: Rep. Jackson Jr. Could Complete Treatment Soon

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., could be back home from treatment for depression and gastrointestinal issues at the Mayo Clinic within a few weeks, according to an aide, the Associated Press reports.

Jackson has been on leave from office since June 10, when family members say he collapsed in their Washington home.

The aide, Rick Bryant, told AP that Jackson has asked for updates of projects in his district, which includes parts of Chicago. After talking to him, Bryant said that Jackson “seemed like his old self.”
