Report: Lockport spa target of federal raid

Apr. 25—The FBI and the Niagara County Sheriff's Office have raided a Lockport spa business as part of a prostitution probe.

The raid, first reported by WGRZ television reporter Charlie Specht, happened at the South Transit Road business earlier this week and is connected to what the news station described as a six-month criminal investigation that allegedly occurred at the New Elegant Shiatsu Spa, located at 5714 S. Transit Rd.

WGRZ reported that the owner of the spa, Linian Song, has been charged with interstate racketeering, with prosecutors alleging that she is what the station described as a "key figure in a prostitution scheme stretching from Rochester to Buffalo with links to China."

The newspaper has reached out to Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti for comment but has not yet received a response.

This is a developing story and the newspaper will continue to provide additional information as it is made available.
