REPORT: K-State big man to transfer

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – K-State men’s basketball has seen multiple players enter the transfer portal early in the 2024 offseason.

K-State redshirt junior Jerrell Colbert plans to enter the transfer portal, according to reports from On3’s Jamie Shaw and GoPowercat’s Ryan Gilbert. He’s now the third Wildcat to enter the portal this offseason, joining Cam Carter and Dorian Finister.

Colbert was with the ‘Cats for two seasons, redshirting his sophomore year (2022-23) and playing 31 games as a junior (2023-24).

The Houston native started in 13 of those 31 games, averaging 2.6 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a junior.

Colbert transferred to K-State after playing his freshman season at LSU. He was the first signee for head coach Jerome Tang.

K-State finished 19-15 on the season following a first-round loss to Iowa in the NIT.
