Report: Former Pro Bowl CB Brandon Browner arrested after police chase on litany of charges, including kidnapping

Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested Sunday following a chase in Azusa, Calif., according to a report from NBC Los Angeles. Per the report, Browner was wanted for kidnapping, false imprisonment, burglary, grand theft auto and violation of a restraining order.

This comes less than three weeks after Browner reportedly spent two days in jail for battery and child endangerment. He was also arrested in the past for drug charges and making criminal threats.

Browner is best known for being one of the first members of the Seahawks’ “Legion of Boom” secondary, garnering a Pro Bowl selection in 2011. Browner’s ascendance came from incredibly modest circumstances, going undrafted in 2005, playing sparingly with the Denver Broncos and later moving to the Canadian Football League for four seasons before returning to the NFL with Seattle.

Browner would later sign with the New England Patriots in free agency, then move to the New Orleans Saints and back to the Seahawks. His NFL career essentially ended when he was waived by the Seahawks in 2016.
