Top tier Bundesliga club Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Germany midfielder Chris Führich, German magazine Sport Bild reported on Wednesday, without citing sources.

Führich has been called up to the Germany squad by coach Julian Nagelsmann ahead of Euro 2024. The 26-year-old has been impressing with VfB Stuttgart for months.

According to the report, Bayern Munich's sporting directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund want to convince the winger to move to Munich.

Führich made his debut for the national team last autumn and came on as a substitute in the Germany's 2-1 friendly win over the Netherlands on Tuesday evening, as well as in the 2-0 win over France.

Führich is under contract in Stuttgart until 2028, but according to Sport Bild there is an exit clause.

In Munich, the competition in the attacking positions is fierce. Kingsley Coman, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller are all under contract with the record champions.

There is also Leroy Sané, who is currently in talks regarding his contract, which expires in 2025.
