Replay: Detroit provides update on 2024 NFL draft plans

Detroit is only 30 days out from hosting the 2024 NFL draft.

At 10 a.m., the City of Detroit, the Detroit Sports Commission and Visit Detroit, in partnership with a local coalition of stakeholders including the City of Detroit, State of Michigan, Wayne County, Bedrock/Rocket Companies, and the Downtown Detroit Partnership will provide an update on what to expect.

Speakers, according to a news release from the City of Detroit, are expected to include:

  • Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan

  • Visit Detroit President and CEO Claude Molinari

  • Moment Strategies Founder and Principal Alexis Wiley

  • Rocket Mortgage Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis

  • Downtown Detroit Partnership CEO Eric Larson.

Details expected to be announced at the event will include the start of construction of the NFL Draft Theater which will be built at the site of the development at Cadillac Square (formerly known as the Monroe Midway) adjacent to Campus Martius Park and the downtown street closures, which are expected to begin at the end of the week.

The 2024 NFL Draft Presented by Bud Light will be held in downtown Detroit April 25-27.
