Find out what is replacing BBQ restaurant in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new place to eat is coming to Baton Rouge.

An Asian noodle restaurant is taking over the spot formally held by Podnuh’s Bar-B-Que, 2648 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd., according to Troy Daigle of Jarreau Real Estate.

Podnuh’s Bar-B-Que was sold on Thursday, April 25 to Sheng Hua La 2024, LLC.

Sheng Hua La 2024, LLC is headquartered in Arlington, Texas.

The property was purchased for $850,000 after “the lease ran out with the tenant and the sellers were ready to sell the property,” Daigle said.

He said the property sits on 3550 sq. ft.

The new owners are aiming to open the Asian noodle restaurant in three to four months, Daigle said.
