The skinny lot at 559 West 23rd Street has been eyed for redevelopment since at least 2002, and finally, things are actually happening at the site. Permits for a 13-story, eight-unit project were approved late last year, and construction started not long after that. The exterior of the building has only been revealed through a not-that-great image posted on the fence around the site, but a tipster alerted us to a teaser site for the project, which has two interior renderings. One of the visuals is clearly the interior of an apartment, while the other looks to be a ground floor gallery space. According to permits, NBO4 Architects designed the building.

Our tipster notes that all units are duplexes, but permits indicate that there will be at least three single floor units. It doesn't look like there will be any share amenities (though the teaser site asks interested parties to note their "required amenities"), but the exterior rendering does show a few private terraces.
We've reached out to the team at Corcoran (they're listed on the website) for more intel, and will update when we hear back. In the meantime, if you know something about the site, please do hit up the tipline.
