Ridgefield Park municipal election results too close to call

RIDGEFIELD PARK — The unofficial election results for the commissioners' race are still too close to call for one seat.

Seven candidates ran for five four-year terms in the village on Tuesday. Two votes separate the fifth- and sixth-place candidates. Official results, which will include mail-in ballots, won't be in until late next week.

Votes received by candidates:

  • Adam MacNeill* – Bracketed running together under the slogan "Continued Responsive Government" – 624 votes.

  • John H. Anlian* – Bracketed running together under the slogan "Continued Responsive Government" – 579 votes.

  • Wanda C. Portorreal* – Bracketed running together under the slogan "Continued Responsive Government" – 566 votes.

  • William G. Gerken* – Bracketed running together under the slogan "Continued Responsive Government" – 563 votes.

  • Askar H. Mirza – Running under the slogan "Vision for Our Village" – 497 votes.

  • Mark Olson* – Bracketed running together under the slogan "Continued Responsive Government" – 495 votes.

  • Theodore Tabasco – Running under the slogan "Bring Back Village Pride" – 482 votes.
