Remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day

FORTY FORT, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A local Sunday service paused to remember those no longer with us who fought for our freedoms.

A few dozen people gathered on Sunday at Forty Fort United Methodist Church.

Celebrating 200 years, remembering past veterans in White Haven

Several veterans were among those who attended, including some who spoke to those inside the church.

The pews and other parts of the church were decorated with United States flags as a patriotic nod to those who gave their lives for our liberties.
