Remember me? Former Patriots RB Brandon Bolden runs wild on former team
Brandon Bolden had one carry all season for the Miami Dolphins before Sunday. Then, the Dolphins used him to run crazy on his former team, the New England Patriots.
It’s almost like something Bill Belichick would do.
Bolden’s unlikely revenge tour took off on Sunday. Bolden, mostly a valuable special-teams player from 2012-17 with the Patriots, had two touchdowns on his first two carries before halftime for the Dolphins. Remember, he had one carry all season until Sunday.
Bolden had a 54-yard touchdown, the longest run of his career, on his first carry.
Then later he had a nice, powerful 6-yard score against his former team.
Bolden had six rushing touchdowns in 83 games with the Patriots, and none since 2014. His two TDs were his only carries in the Dolphins’ stunning 34-33 victory over the Patriots. He also had one catch in the game.
While fantasy owners might have been displeased that a back who was started in roughly zero leagues for the start of the FFL playoffs was vulturing touchdowns, it was a pretty cool story. Like something the Patriots would do, using a player to gash his former team.
