Remember David Sills? He signed with West Virginia on National Signing Day

8th Grade QB Playing Varsity on Rev It Up The year was 2010 and Lane Kiffin was the head coach at USC. He made big waves in the media when he got a verbal commitment from David Sills - who was in the seventh grade.

"It's always been my dream to go to USC," Sills told the Los Angeles Times back then.

My, how things have changed. Sills, who played at Eastern Christian Academy (Elkton, Md.) the last two seasons and at Red Lion Christian Academy (Bear, Del.) before that, officially signed a National Letter of Intent Wednesday to play at West Virginia.

Sills played at two high schools and since Kiffin got his commitment, USC has had three other men lead the Trojans at the head coaching position.

Back in 2010, Sills' personal coach Steve Clarkson said Sills "probably will be the most celebrated high school recruit in history." Looks like that didn't pan out, as he was given a 3-star rating by 247Sports.com.
