Remains found in Jacksonville identified as missing man last seen in 2022

JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KETK) – Remains found in Jacksonville have been identified as a man who was reported missing in November 2022.

According to Police Chief Joe Williams, scattered bones were reported after being found along Burma Road on August 19, 2023. The remains were collected and taken to a forensic anthropologist where they were later identified as Ryan Donald Hoskins.

Hoskins was last seen leaving Jacksonville on Nov. 25, 2022 “after getting into a fight with his girlfriend,” officials at the time reported. The car he left in was found abandoned on CR 4405.

Williams said the cause of death is not known, and authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
