Registration opens for spring High Point Market

Feb. 23—HIGH POINT — Registration for the spring 2021 High Point Market, set for June 5-9, is now open for home furnishings buyers, international buyers, exhibitors, trade/industry, media and students.

The spring Market returns the trade show to a five-day schedule, Saturday through Wednesday. The fall 2020 Market was expanded to nine days in October to spread attendance out as a COVID-19 safety measure.

Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority, sounded an optimistic note about the industry having made it through what appeared to be the worst of the pandemic.

"This pandemic has given witness to the resiliency of our industry, and we're thrilled the resources here in High Point have been a vital lifeline in the effort to keep our industry moving forward," he said.

The High Point Market Authority anticipates use of all safety measures that were in place during the fall Market, including mandatory face coverings, reduced capacity restrictions, daily health checks and other precautions. More details can be found at highpointmarket.org/hpmktsafe.

Market originally was scheduled for April, but the June dates were announced in December in anticipation of an improving pandemic situation, more vaccine availability and fewer travel restrictions in addition to an improving industry supply chain. Backlogs in the supply chain have greatly impacted the industry for the past several months.

Online registration will remain open until June 9 at highpointmarket.org/register, but attendees are encouraged to register by May 21 (May 7 for international attendees) so their pass can be mailed in advance. For more information, call 336-869-1000 or contact registration@highpointmarket.org.
