Regions Bank to close Terre Haute branch

Nov. 10—The lone Regions Bank branch, at 126 S. Third St., in Terre Haute will close in February.

"Regions consistently reviews its branch network and digital banking services to ensure we are investing our resources where customers use them most. Recently, we evaluated several factors impacting local branches, including customer traffic, volume, demand and more," said Kim Borges, vice president and market specialist for the bank.

"Based on this review, we have decided to consolidate the Terre Haute branch into our Linton main branch. While the decision to close the Terre Haute location was very difficult, these decisions are only made after a careful analysis of customer usage of our branch facilities, in addition to the increased usage of our digital banking options," Borges said.

"Our team at the Terre Haute branch is ready to work with customers one-on-one through the transition. We are available to answer questions and make this as seamless as possible. And, as always, our digital banking tools remain available to meet customers' needs around the clock," Borges said.

The Terre Haute branch is slated to close at 2 p.m. on Feb. 18. The combined new branch is located in Linton at 89 W. Vincennes St.
