Redner's to open beer and wine café
Sep. 16—A city grocery store hopes to start selling beer and wine by early next year.
Redner's Warehouse Markets, 550 N. Seventh Ave., plans to open a beer and wine café by late 2022 or early 2023, pending unforeseen delays, said Eric B. White, director of marketing and communications for Redner's Markets Inc.
"We're in the process of reviewing what we need to do to get the license into the store through the PA Liquor Control Board," White said.
The liquor license will be transferred to Redner's from Melba Bar on Capouse Avenue in the city, White said.
