Red Wing woman injured in Highway 61 crash Tuesday

May 7—RED WING, Minn. — A Red Wing woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 61 on Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2024.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, the 2006 Infiniti FX35 was traveling south on Highway 61 and the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze was crossing the highway at Service Drive in Red Wing when the vehicles collided.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Taylor Marie Harris, 26, of Red Wing had non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing.

The driver of the Infiniti, Ghanime Walid, 44, of Red Wing was not injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Red Wing Police Department, Red Wing Fire Department, Red Wing Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash.
