If you recently purchased ground beef from the Food 4 Less Weston Ranch location in Stockton, don't eat it.

Food 4 Less, the grocery chain store with four Stockton locations, has a current recall for all ground beef sold at its Weston Ranch location in Stockton. The business is currently recalling all fresh ground beef produced on March 26 at its Western Ranch store, a statement released Friday afternoon states.

"A customer came in with a package of the ground beef. After a thorough investigation, and out of abundance of caution, we have issued this recall," said Stephanie Black, Food 4 Less marketing manager.

In the statement, Food 4 Less asks customers to return fresh ground beef purchased with a sell-by date of Saturday, March 30 to its Weston Ranch location at 3434 Manthey Rd. in Stockton. They will receive a full refund or an exchange.

The fresh ground beef may contain metal or plastic pieces, according to the statement.

There have been no reports of illnesses or injuries, according to the statement. Additionally, store officials say this is an isolated incident, not affecting other Food 4 Less locations.
