Reapportionment affects some Greenup Co. voters

Mar. 12—GREENUP — Greenup County Clerk Andrew Imel updated the fiscal court regarding a recent reapportionment required and approved by the state.

The change affects 176 registered voters, Imel said, all of whom will move from Flatwoods No. 6 to the Flatwoods No. 3 precinct (Russell High School).

As Greenup County Judge-Executive Bobby Hall emphasized, this happens statewide in the form of an executive order from Frankfort.

"It was made as simple as possible to not interrupt several precincts," Hall said.

The State Board of Elections approved the reapportionment.

According to Imel, if a voter lives in any of the following areas, a mailer was sent out to notify of any change in the voting location: Angela Sue Drive, Ant Hill, Bug Barn Road, Catherine Street, Duke Street, Dwight Street, EC Drive, Greenbo Boulevard, Luci Mae Drive, Luke Street, Mcallister Trail, Mole Hill, Murdock Road, Pamela Drive, Reid Street, Shady Elm Drive and Ky. 207.
