Bravo has denied that Andy Cohen will be exiting The Real Housewives franchise, saying there was “no truth” in the rumour.

Earlier this week, reports circulated that the host and executive producer was negotiating his exit from the franchise, which he has been associated with since 2006.

Though the reports gained traction, Bravo has confirmed that Cohen will be staying in his role, with a spokesperson telling Entertainment Weekly that there was “absolutely no truth” in the story.

The statement came in response to an article from In Touch Weekly, which quoted an unnamed source in saying that: “Negotiations for Cohen's departure package are underway as he grapples with the fallout from mounting accusations by his stars.”

Cohen, who also hosts Watch What Happens Live, was accused of sexual harassment by Leah McSweeney and Brandi Glanville, who starred on Real Housewives of New York City and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills respectively.

Cohen, who has denied McSweeney’s allegations, later issued an apology to Glanville, admitting that his actions were “inappropriate” despite claiming that his remarks were in jest and that Glanville was “in on the joke”.

Whilst Cohen is set to stay in the franchise, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Marlo Hampton recently confirmed her departure from the show ahead of the 16th season, saying the move would offer a “fresh start”.

“My contract with Real Housewives of Atlanta ended when season 15 wrapped,” she said. “This break from RHOA is a fresh start, allowing me the space to participate in new creative entertainment projects focused on my future, and not reliving my past.

“My nephews are transitioning into pivotal stages of their academic adolescence, and I am focused on my representation in their eyes and getting back to showing my multifaceted lifestyle of philanthropy, fashion and fabulosity.

“I am thankful for this amazing platform of Housewives, which has allowed me to bring awareness to foster care, my non-profit Glam It Up, Inc., and showcase my fashion showroom, Le'Archive. I look forward to my continued relationship with Bravo and NBC Universal.”
