Get ready for a stormy weekend

May 3—A potentially stormy weekend in in the cards for Cooke County.

The chances for showers and thunderstorms will exist across portions of North and Central Texas by midday through the afternoon and evening Friday, according to the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.

"Main threats will include hail and gusty winds along with flash flooding," according to an NWS statement.

Unsettled weather will continue through the weekend. The potential for over three inches of rain by Sunday exists for both Montague and Cooke counties.
