Adults and kids alike can now unleash their inner rock stars at the School of Rock Hendersonville.

Having met while participating in the Adult Performance Program at the School of Rock Nashville, Kiko Gomes and Shari Neul were inspired by the opportunity to offer students of all ages the chance to learn and perform music while building confidence and friendships, according to a press release.

With a shared passion for music and extensive backgrounds in the industry, it made sense that Kiko and Shari would pursue opening School of Rock Hendersonville.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the vibrant Hendersonville community, which boasts a rich musical history and has been home to many famous musicians, including June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash, Kelly Clarkson, Roy Orbison and Young Buck,” School of Rock Hendersonville Co-owner Kiko Gomes said in an earlier statement.

“At School of Rock Hendersonville, we are dedicated to providing a performance-based music education that fills a much-needed gap in the community. We're incredibly grateful for the enthusiastic support we've received from families in the area and look forward to welcoming more students into the School of Rock Hendersonville family. Our mission is to help them discover the joy of music and unleash their inner rock stars.”

Founded 25 years ago, School of Rock helps aspiring musicians master skills and unleash creativity through its performance-based music education.

The international franchise now has tens of thousands of students in more than 500 schools across 15 global markets, the press release said.

“There is a lot of heart and soul that goes into the School of Rock," School of Rock CEO Rob Price said in an earlier statement.

“Kiko and Sheri truly embody this spirit, and their dedication to music as gigging musicians serves as an inspiration for their students. I look forward to watching their students flourish through the power of music education and live performances.”

Students have access to a variety of music lessons, including guitar, bass, drum, piano and singing and learn theory and techniques from legendary artists’ songs from all styles of rock and roll.

Thanks to its performance-based education, students have gained superior musical proficiency, with some landing record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway, the press release said.
