Read Donald Trump's Tweet About "Black-ish"
You'd be hard-pressed to find a topic Donald Trump hasn't yet offered his opinion about on Twitter - so when Tracee Ellis Ross took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy on Sunday night, it didn't take long for the internet to unearth the president-elect's thoughts on her show, Black-ish.
How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled "Blackish"? Can you imagine the furor of a show, "Whiteish"! Racism at highest level?
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 1, 2014
Reportedly first rediscovered by Dave Itzkhoff, the 2014 tweet from Trump reads, "How is ABC Television allowed to have a show entitled 'Blackish'? Can you imagine the furor of a show, 'Whiteish'! Racism at highest level?"

Unsurprisingly, many were quick to offer up a slew of responses to the tweet - and at the time, many pointed out that a TV show being named Black-ish is most definitely not an example of "racism at highest level."
We gotta get you out of here for this @realDonaldTrump. Do you even know the definition of racism?https://t.co/UIKBMg313N

@realDonaldTrump not sure that you know what racism or 'the highest level' means.

Others chose to respond to the tweet by listing off some of the many "White-ish" shows that have been on the air over the years.
"Whitish" has been on for years. They called it "Friends"...or "The Big Bang Theory" or "Seinfeld" or....you get the point, @realDonaldTrump

@CorporateBarbie @realDonaldTrump "Friends" "Seinfeld"... pretty much every other show not named "Blackish" IS Whitish.

Meanwhile, others made it clear that they thought his tweet was absolutely ridiculous.

.@realDonaldTrump Yes Donald. That's 'racism at its highest level'. Now put your dressing gown on and come back inside. Jeopardy is on.

But by far, the most popular response - both in 2014 and 2017 - was letting the tweet speak for itself.
This is a real tweet by our incoming President. https://t.co/zfBuZjPkDZ

This is a terrifying glimpse into the shallow mind of America's incoming president, @realDonaldTrump.#Blackish #GoldenGlobes#TheResistance
