CALGARY - The commissioner of the RCMP is worried about vigilante justice in the case of a Nova Scotia teen's suicide.
Bob Paulson says his heart goes out to the family of 17-year-old Rehtaeh (ruh-TAY-ah) Parsons, calling it a terrible set of facts.
The Nova Scotia girl's family says she hanged herself last week after she was sexually assaulted by four boys and a photo of the alleged incident was distributed online.
Paulson told reporters in Calgary that he is very concerned about a vigilante response to the case in Halifax and that it is important for the public to let justice run its course.
He said although it's not a Canadian trait, anger seems to be growing.
An anonymous hacker group has tweeted that it knows the identities of the boys allegedly involved in the sexual assault and is threatening to make that information public.
