Rare Disease Day: Tackling “MEF2C” With Raiders Player Brandon Parker and Family

Las Vegas(KLAS)-February 29th is rare disease day. Raising awareness and creating change for the 300 million people worldwide living with a rare disease, and of course for the families that are impacted as well. Brandon Parker of our Las Vegas Raiders and family joined Roqui Theus to explain how they’re tackling a rare disease called “MEF2C” with their son Elias. This disease can present developmental delay, severely impaired or absent language, seizures, repetitive movements, difficulties sleeping & feeding, and is considered a severe form of autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
